Terry Corley came to Blue Slate in 2008, joining the team as the Senior Vice President of International Sales. Leveraging his more than 37 years of experience in international business affairs—including 27 years dedicated to medical device sales and marketing — Mr. Corley provides an international perspective to Blue Slate’s ventures. He is responsible for generating sales, as well as identifying and helping Blue Slate capitalize on the changing demands of a growing global marketplace.

Over his career, Mr. Corley has managed a wide variety of medical and surgical business positions, including marketing, sales, distribution, and manufacturing outside North America. His expertise allows him to successfully identify, negotiate, and establish corporate relationships with international partners, enabling penetration into these areas that are consistent with corporate objectives. These relationships include distribution, joint ventures, licensing, contract manufacturing, and assistance in negotiations with foreign governments to obtain access to priority development markets.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Mr. Corley started his business career with Hitachi, Taiwan as the OEM Business Development Manager. He also served as the North Asia Regional Manager for Alcon Ophthalmology and Surgical Products, and as a consultant for Abbott Laboratories’s China market. He first worked in the orthopedics field as the Asia Pacific Area Manager for Surgical Dynamics, then moved on to Sulzer Spine-Tech (Vice President of International Sales) and Blackstone Medical (Vice of President of International Sales and Managing Director of Direct Sales in Germany).
