Director, Global Customer Support
Since 2008, Kathryn McGinley has served as Blue Slate’s Director of Global Customer Support, tasked with creating the customer service arms for two of the portfolio companies: Simpact Dental with its direct US and German sales force; and Extremity Medical with its domestic and international, independent sales distributor network.
After hiring additional staff to supply domestic customer service, Ms. McGinley now focuses her efforts on strengthening the international distributor network, while providing support to more than 20 markets. This includes handling regulatory submissions, contracts, pricing proposals, forecasting, collections, reporting, and order processing; providing marketing/congress support; and hosting international surgeons and distributors for educational events.
A former student at the University of Wisconsin and Normandale Community College, Ms. McGinley has accumulated more than 26 years of experience in the medical industry. Her background includes many leading companies; a position at Orthofix Spine as the International Business Relations Manager (2006 – 2008); Blackstone Medical as the International Business Relations Manager (2002 – 2006); Spine-Tech, which later became Sulzer Spine-Tech, as the International Sales Administration Manager and Manager of International Support Services, respectively (1995 – 2001); and Orthomet, which later became Wright Medical Technology, as the International Sales Manager and International Sales Administration Manager, respectively.
